Guerlain by Emilio Pucci Khol in 02 Blu Acqua Swatch and Review

I couldn't resist picking up another item from the Pucci Guerlain collection in addition to the Meteorites and Terra Azzurra. This time I chose the uber pretty Blu Acqua Khol Kajal which is a dark indigo blue with strong purple tones and a subtle blue shimmer ( but I can't really see the shimmer when swatched/worn). I find this pulls a lot more purple when on the skin compared to in the tube, which is actually fine as I think it's a lovely shade. You can use it as a liner or as a base for eyeshadows as it blends incredibly well.

The product itself is very soft and smooth- no tugging on the eye whatsoever, however you do pay for the creaminess with longevity- I get approx 6 hours wear before it needs reapplying. Having said that I did test this in a hot climate (35 degrees +) so most products would struggle in these conditions, you might find it lasts longer depending on where you live. The packaging is very chic- a deep brown twist up tube which is tapered so you don't have to sharpen (I haven't used it for long enough to need sharpening yet so I'm still undecided whether it works or not) and brightly coloured ribbons to decorate.

Guerlain Giulette Rouge G (63) Swatch & Review

Guerlain 63 Giulette Rouge G is a vibrant warm pink with golden shimmer. This is quite probably my favorite shade out of all the Rouge G range, it has a soft creamy texture which applies smoothly and is opaque in one swipe. I also find them one of the most hydrating lipsticks on the market, my lips never feel parched once I've been wearing these, nor do they enhance any dry areas or imperfections. This shade on average lasts about 6 hours on me, and it doesn't leave a strange ring around my lips as it wears off, just a pretty subtle stain.

It comes in the classic Rouge G packaging- a hefty metal case with a flip top mirror, it's a piece of art but not so practical for carrying in your handbag (it's very heavy and I'm paranoid the lid will fall off). These are expensive lipsticks, there's no getting away from that fact, but I think if you find a shade you adore it is worth the investment.

Guerlain Terra Azzurra Swatch & Review From Pucci Collection

Probably the most anticipated item of the Guerlain Pucci Summer Collection is this- the Terra Azzurra. It's a beautiful bronzer and blush duo house in a circular (wooden?) pot which closes magnetically, very much like Terra Inca from last year. The bronzer side is a soft orange toned brown, Guerlain is particularly renowned for their bronzers and this one is just as lovely as their permanent collection. The other side is a mixture of orange/peach, pink and cream stripes, once blended they produce a peachy pink with a slight shimmer. Alternatively you can combine the entire palette to get a darkish peachy color.

Terra Azzurra also comes packaged with this very cute Pucci print pouch. It is highly scented of Jasmine ( I think) which I love but if you have sensitive skin you might want to try before buying. Overall you get a pretty decent amount of product (16g) which is how I justify the high price tag. As I said in my Perles D'Azur review here this isn't supposed to be out in the UK until around June but I found mine in London already so you should keep your eyes peeled!

Guerlain Meteorites Pucci Perles D'Azur Swatch & Review

This year's Guerlain Summer collection comes courtesy of Pucci. Some of the products come housed in  a beautiful aqua print which really makes me think of the Italian Riviera. The meteorites in particular come in this dinky little blue metal tin (thank goodness no more horrible cardboard) with a Pucci print lid. The balls are a mixture of cream, peach, turquoise, pink and beige.

I would very much classify this as a luxury product, not only because of the high price point but more for the fact that they don't do a whole lot. On the skin they give a very light dusting of powder and a few small sparkles. Now I'm more of a shimmer/sheen type girl as I think it's a bit more flattering and natural so maybe it's a bit wasted on me, I do however still love this product and think there is a time and a place for sparkle. These mini baubles have the classic Guerlain violet scent which is quite strong but doesn't really last.
I'm sure this will sell out like hotcakes so I would snap one up if you think you'll want it ASAP. I think these are out in the US already. In the UK I've asked at Selfridges and John Lewis and they've both advised me that they expect these from the end of May or the end of June, nobody seems to have a definite answer! I happened to find mine already on sale at the airport so keep your eyes peeled!

Swatch... (yes I promise I did swatch this- you have to look very closely for the teeny sparkles :-) )

Guerlain Blondie B01 Rouge G Le Brillant Swatch & Review

Guerlain Rouge G Le Brillant in B01 Blondie is a pinky beige colour with subtle shimmer. This is a really lovely lipstick for those days when you want something a bit more neutral. As it's part of the Rouge G Le Brillant range it's slightly less pigmented than the normal Rouge G's but this one still gives a decent tint to the lips. I find the Rouge G's very moisturising as lipsticks go, they are much more expensive but you are partly paying for the beautiful packaging. It comes in a very heavy metal case with a clever flip up lid as you pull the top away. One annoyance is that the metal does hold a lot of fingerprints.

These are slightly scented- sort of a sweet floral but doesn't linger too long on the lips. The Rouge G's are quite creamy and have a nice balm texture but in general I get about 4 hours wear from this shade before it fades away.

Guerlain Rouge G Gabrielle 60 Review & Swatch

Probably my most used Rouge G by Guerlain is this one, 60 'Gabrielle'. For me it's the perfect nude, a peach-pink with lots of gold shimmer. It's super pretty yet natural and works brilliantly with a smokey eye. As it's also one of the Rouge G range I find it nicely hydrating and so I can get away with not bringing any balm out with me (which is just as well as this lipstick weighs a ton!).

It is beautifully packaged in a heavy silver metal case with flip top mirror, which I guess is what you want when you're paying for a premium brand. Even though this is at the higher end of the price point yardstick, I still think it's worth it if you can find your HG colour, and for me this is just that.

Guerlain Rouge G Gigi 68 Review and Swatches

Guerlain Rouge G in Gigi 68 is a bright pink red with opaque coverage and a lovely hydrating formula. It looks deceptive in it's tube, like a muted dark berry red, but once swatched it looks much, much brighter. If you're a bit daunted by the thought of wearing a bold or neon shade, this is quite a good stepping stone - bright but still wearable.

I do love Rouge G's, they are with out doubt one of my favourite formulas, however they are expensive (mostly due to the packaging). It comes in a very heavy metal case, complete with a flip top mirror. It does hold fingerprints but looks pretty on a table top.

Guerlain Rouge Automatique 143 Nahema Review and Swatch

I'm quite surprised that I haven't heard much hype about this lipstick, it's a stunning shade of Rouge Automatique by Guerlain. Named Nahema, number 143, it is a coral-red with beautiful golden shimmer. Bright enough to look great on darker skintones but sheer enough to work on people with pale skin. I get about 4 hours of wear out of this one and I don't find it particularly drying either.

The packaging is also rather clever, you can pull down the little switch on the front so making application easy enough to do with one hand. It's also cheaper than the Rouge G line, although this doesn't feel as hefty (on account of it being more plasticy rather than metal).

Guerlain Kiss Kiss Gloss 869 Rose In Bloom Swatch & Review

Launched as part of Guerlain's Spring 2012 collection this new Kiss Kiss Gloss in 869 Rose In Bloom is a gorgeous milky peach, jam packed with gold shimmer. This looks pretty either by itself or layered over a bright lipstick. It is one of those slightly tacky lipglosses, although I do not find it bothers me at all.

It comes in the usual Guerlain Kiss Kiss Gloss packaging - a clear base with a metal cap (which does hold fingerprints if you're not careful!). I've been told at the Guerlain counter near me that this shade is being made permanent which is just as well as it's a stunning and versatile gloss.

On to the swatches!
