Nars Bolero Velvet Matte Lip Pencil Swatch & Review

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Bolero is a very pigmented, creamy pale peach. It has a lot of white pigment in it which makes it stand away from the face, it's quite similar to Illamasqua's Obey lipstick which I reviewed earlier, I would say this was slightly less forgiving if you have dry or cracked lips. As it's a matte finish and a slightly chalky texture, I highly recommend exfoliating and moisturising your lips before applying this as it can settle into lip lines.

However, I do think if this is applied correctly it can be a stunning lip colour- perfect with a flicked out liner and soft peach cheeks. I get about 3-4 hours wear from this although I find my lips are a bit parched at the end of that period of time. Bolero comes in a jumbo pencil packaging which is very easy to apply (you will need a extra large pencil sharpener) but you do get slightly less product for your money.

Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer St Moritz Review & Swatch

This is the latest foundation from Nars, it's a lovely tinted moisturiser with a built in SPF 30. I purchased the shade St Moritz, a medium yellow tone (about a Mac NC30) which is slightly too dark for me at the moment but in a few weeks as it's getting warmer it should be about right. I especially like the texture of this one, it's virtually undetecetable, a bit like my favourite Bourjois Healthy Mix foundations, and gives a sheer to medium coverage which is a touch more than your standard tinted moisturiser.

I use this straight on top of bare skin (no other moisturiser) as I have oily skin, it gives just the right amount of hydration with out making it greasy or too shiny. I would say this is a satin finish, it's not matte but it's not dewy either so I can skip powder. This also has great lasting power, I wore it all the way through 8 am to 11pm and it hadn't faded or slipped off. This will definitely be my base of choice through the summer as I love being able to put on moisturiser, SPF and foundation in one go.

Packaging is nice and practical in a black plastic squeezy tube and you get a very generous 50ml (1.9OZ). I can't comment on it's skin brightening abilities as I haven't had it for long enough but I will update when I've tried it for more time.

Nars Etrusque Eyeshadow Swatch & Review

Etrusque from Nars is a metallic antiqued gold with a yellow undertone. It's richly pigmented and extremely smooth to apply. I found this lasts very well on my eyelids but a primer should be used to help seal it in place for longer. This is almost identical to Bobbi Brown's limited edition chrome eyeshadow in Gold from a few years ago so you might want to check your stash before purchasing.

This eyeshadow suits a multitude of skintones and is such a great formula,  I can't recommend it highly enough.

Nars Cap Ferrat Eyeshadow Trio Review & Swatches

This Nars Eyeshadow Trio named 'Cap Ferrat' came out last year with the summer collection but I believe it's now part of the permanent range. The lightest shade is a pale greenish cream, the middle shade is a very pretty mint green and the last is a bright  cyan blue-turquoise. All are packed with shimmer and are buttery smooth, nicely pigmented and easy to apply.

I haven't experienced any fallout with this trio and stay put and vibrant really well over some sort of base. Overall this is a really pretty palette and perfect for summer- highly recommended!

Nars Cyprus Eyeshadow - Review and Swatches

This is such a beautiful shade by Nars, I feel bad for passing it by for so long before discovering it. Cyprus is a golden taupe with plenty of shimmer (but no glitter), as with most Nars eyeshadows it's buttery soft and very easy to blend. A perfect shade for pairing with other colours or just by itself to look polished but not too "made up".
