Maybelline Permanent Taupe Color Tattoo Swatch & Review

Maybelline has come out with some new cream eyeshadows, I picked up a couple so let's start with this one- 40 Permanent Taupe which is a matte grey taupe. It seems to be a bit darker once swatched. They have a harder, waxier texture than Mac's Paint Pots or Benefit's Creaseless Cream Eyeshadows so you need to spend a little more time blending. The color itself is actually very wearable and would make a great base shade for a smokey eye.

These are pretty pigmented, so a little bit goes a long way. I found that after 2 hours of application there was a little creasing, by the end of the day I could see that it had faded quite a bit. This might be one of those shadows that work best as a primer before powder eyeshadow, but certainly if you find that eye products crease on you it would probably not be up your street.
